The Margaret R. Preska Residence Community, Mankato State University's newest residence community, provides housing for nearly 500 students in semi-suite and renovated style housing.
Dr. Margaret Robinson Preska served as president of Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1979 to 1992. She also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Equal Opportunity Officer from 1975 to 1979. Her tenure at Minnesota State Mankato included an increase in enrollment to 16,500 students, and the campus also saw considerable new construction.
